“We are just going to make sure we look into the present arrangements, where there is need for improvement, we will do that. Where we feel the arrangement is ok, we just make sure we maintain the standard” he said
Former Commander of the Brigade, General Anthony Omozoje said there was never a dull moment in the Brigade, as its task is very demanding which requires a lot of commitment, discipline and sacrifice.
“For me it’s very fulfilling for my career as an infantry officer, to have the privilege of commanding this elite brigade, I’m very grateful to the authorities of the army that gave me this opportunity.”
“The Guard’s brigade has the mandate to protect the Commander in chief on the seat of power, and without any mincing of words you know what that means. So we have to do as our motto says: vigilance and sacrifice.”
“This is one of the most difficult jobs that you can ever put yourself in, so when a man is happy doing what we do, then I think we are successful, so the Brigade is functioning at its peak”.
