BUHARI ORDER’S POLICE TO RE-INVESTIGATE BOLA IGE, AMINOSARI DOKUBO’S ASSASSINATIONS.
Concerned, that one time Chief law officer of the nation, Chief Bola Ige, was killed several years ago and the killers are walking the streets of the nation freely which is a threat to other would be victims, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to reopen the case of the unresolved murder and fish out the perpetrators.
Another murder which caused national outrage and is yet to be resolved which the President was said to he ordered its re-investigation, is the assassination of the former National Deputy Chairmanof the People’s Democratic Party for the South-South, Aminosari Dokubo

Recall that Chief Bola Ige was shot dead at his bedroom in Bodija, Ibadan home at about 9pm on December 23rd 2001, after he returned from a journey from Lagos at about 8.30pm. His security details were said to have sought permission from the former Attorney General to go and eat before the incident occurred
The gunmen who were said to have been waiting in the vicinity then stormed the house and tying up family members, got one of them to lead them upstairs’ to the room of Chief Bola Ige where they led his wife and son to an adjourning room and locked them up. They then shot Chief Ige in the heart
It was gathered from sources that towards unearthing the perpetrators of these unresolved murders, the Acting Inspector general of Police has instituted a high powered investigation team headed by an Assistant Inspector General of Police and charged the team to crack the case during his tenure as the IGP.
