Customs Officer, ASC Fasua Launches book on ‘Essentials of Protocol Duties’ in Abuja.

    The Symposium hall 1 of the Nigerian National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja at the weekend witnessed a gathering of service personnel, media and civil society persons on the occasion of the book presentation by an Assistant Superintendent of Customs officer, ASC Tomo JD Fasua.

    The Book, “Essentials of Protocol Duties’ propounded formula for modern protocol practice vis a vis IR+RI (AF)=1(PP), she also proffered seven keys to protocol success as “CPRICKE” and a slogan “PPEC”.

    The Customs officer said ‘Essentials of Protocol Duties’ is a timely intervention towards making protocol duties a professional art in Nigeria.

    At the launching of the book, Chairman of the occasion, Hilary Ogbechie, Director, Latoma Concept Ltd took charge of proceedings.

    Present at the presentation were the Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Aber Teseer, Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs Musa Tahir (rtd) and other invited dignitaries from the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Immigrations Service (NIS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ministry of Women Affairs, Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Union of Journalists.

    There were also representatives of the Comptroller-General of Immigrations, Minister of Women Affairs, the Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal, HRH, Ayo Peters Okeola, the Executive Secretary NUC, Assistant Comptroller of Customs Enebeli, and The African Child’s Yandel Damisah.

    Others were Protocol Officers Forum, Nigerian National Merit Award, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Nigeria Television Authority, and several others.

    The book reviewer, Emman Usman Shehu (PhD), Director, International Institute of Journalism, Abuja stated that, the book ” Essentials of Protocol Duties ” is a well thought out handbook which provides a lot of information.

    He further said, one of the strength of the book is the explanation of the relationship between Protocol Duties and Public Relations, something he believes a lot of organizations in Nigeria took for granted.

    Tomo Fashua said she intended to impart knowledge and service to humanity in Nigeria through the book.
