Military advice’s against panic during Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The Nigerian Army yesterday advised residents of the Federal Capital territory not to panic on Friday, January 15th 2016 when they hear gun shots being fired by the armed forces saying it is gun salute in honour of fallen heroes on the occasion of armed forces Remembrance Day ceremonies.

A statement signed by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman said, “The wreath laying ceremony for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade holds on Friday 15 January 2016 at the Cenotaph of the National Arcade, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“Among the events lined up for the parade is the traditional firing of one salvo of artillery guns as well as firing of the volleys from rifles in honour of our fallen heroes.
“The general public is therefore advised not panic at the sound of the firing of heavy guns emanating from the National Cenotaph.
