Security Agencies Rescue 10 Kidnapped Victims in Abuja.
A joint military and Police operation that commenced on Saturday and continued today, Monday 21 November 2016, has rescued 10 people including a 9 year old girl that were kidnapped in the FCT.
According to FCT Police Commissioner, Mustapha Mohammed, the kidnapped victims were rescued in the Forest of Robochi located between FCT and Nasarara.
Eight of the victims were rescued on Sunday while two of the suspects were rescued today, Monday in an early hour operation.
The kidnappers had demanded payment of #20million as ransom but the FCT CP disclosed that no dime was paid.
Speaking in the same vein, FCT Minister, Musa Muhammed noted that the joint operation invoĺved 250 personnel of the Police, Army, DSS, NSCDC while air patrols were deployed to comb the Forest.
He noted that tw of the criminal’S camps where the gang’s were operating from have been destroyed.
One of the NSCDC operative was said to have collapsed and died during the operation while one of the criminals was killed and another arrested.

Commending the security agencies for the synergy and the successful rescue, the minister said the operation will continue until all black spots and camps of kidnappers and robbers were cleared in Abuja.
Those rescued are Fanus Emmanuel, Babangida Emmanuel, Akimmidauda, Japhet Kwasu, Dorcas Shuaibu, Hamza Yunusa, Kemu Cheik, Umar Godiri, Ismaila Yusuf and Abubakar Gomo.
The minister disclosed that the rescued victims were currently with the Chief of Kuje for medical rehabilitation before they will be released.
While thanking the people of Kuje who provided intelligence operation to the officers and men of the security agencies, the minister said the criminal gangs that perpetrated the crime were disbanded .
He said the operation to clear other hoodlums and kidnappers in the FCT, from the Forest that runs through Kogi, Nasarawa and the FCT and that it would involve air and ground operations.
Recall that last Sunday 14 November 2016, at about 2.30am, a notorious gang of hoodlums who specialize in raiding remote villagers at night attacked Darrka villà ge where 6 persons were taken hostage and 2 persons shot in the process.
One of the persons shot later died while receiving treatment at Gwagwalada Teaching Hospital.
Also on Wednesday, the assailants carried out another attack at Hunk Fade village where 4 persons were also taken as hostage.
