The Police in Delta State in continuation of its onslaught on criminal elements in the state have arrested several armed robbery and kidnapping suspects terrorizing the state following intelligence information.
Making these disclosures in a statement, Commissioner of Police of the state, CP Muhammad Zanna said, “On Saturday 22nd July 2017, at about 4.30pm, while ‘Operation Restore Hope patrol team at Ubulu-Okiti led by led by F/No 403016 Sgt Victor Omuabor was on stop and search along the Asaba/Isselle-Uku express the road
“They intercepted one Sienna bus, gold inb colour with reg no. Abuja KUJ 470 JK Chassis No 4T3ZF19C9YU294661, with 3 occupants namely Samuel Ibiwoyi aged 19yrs, Ejike Onwudinjor aged 25yrs both resident in Ijebu-Ode Eyam Ndofon aged 23yrs of no 1 Iyamabo Str Ikom, Cross Rivers State were arrested.
“On interrogation, suspects cou;d mot give satisfactory account of the vehicle
“Consequent upon search, one IPAD, one driver’s license nearing Joshua Aderemi Adejumo of 16 Irekera-Oluyole, Ibadan with NOK GSM No 08035058267 was recovered.

The owner confirmed the car was syolen on Friday at Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State by two young men whom he gave the vehicle to wash at the car wash
The three suspects were immediately arrested and the vehicle recovered. One of them confessed that they have a buyer in Onitsha.
They were taking the vehicle to suspects. The exhibits handed over to SARS Asaba for detailed investigation.
In a similar development, the Delta State Police Command say they have arrested suspected kidnappers in the case of kidnap of Mrs. Rosa Egbukuware and Tessy Sakpara who were abducted on 2nd July 2017 and June 1st, 2017 respectively.
The victims were released on Thursday 6th July 2017 and 8th June 2017 respectively.
According to the Police, “A team of SAKCCS operatives led by ASP Amos Sunday at various axis of Warri and Benin in Edo State arrested 2 more suspects in connection to the crime, Okwejiro Daniel, 23yrs of No 6 Ogbofu, by father Ebi str, Warri and Edo Kingsley 19yrs of No 28 waye str, Upper Sakpoba, Benin City.
They were both found to have complicity in the said kidnap even as investigation is continuing.
