The Theatre Command of the Operation Lafiya Dole has handed over 983 cleared suspected demobilized Boko Haram Terrorists to Borno State Government.
Presenting the repented Boko Haram to the government of Borno State in Maiduguri Tuesday, the Commander of the theatre command, Major General OG Adeniyi said the category of the detainees are suspected Boko Haram members and sympathizers of the group.
Major General Adeniyi appealed to the Borno State Government to empower them by training them in various trade.
He said all those that voluntarily surrendered will be welcomed back to the society and given preferential treatment.

While charging the repented Boko Haram to go and sin no more, he called on the Boko Haram members willing to surrender to submit themselves to any Army formation, Police Stations or any security agency, as they will be integrated back to the society without any intimidation.
In his address the executive governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zullum said Borno State government will take the repented Boko Haram to the rehabilitation centre to be trained in various vocations.
According to the governor, those that repented prior to today’s occasion have been undergoing training through operation safe corridor
