In line with his vision which is “to have a professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional roles, the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TY Buratai on Monday 30 th September 2019 commissioned a befitting Staff Quarters for officers and men of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command at GIRI, airport road Abuja.

The Chief of Army Staff was represented at the occasion by the Chief of Policy and Plans of the Nigerian Army Lt. Gen Lamidi Adeosun.
Recall that the Army Cyber Warfare Command was initiated, created and fully equipped and staffed by the current Chief of Army Staff to further empower the Nigerian Army in the areas of cyber capacity, cyber Warfare and internet/ICT capabilities.
The Cyber Command is seriously impacting positively in combating cyber adversaries, cyber attacks, detection and destruction of terrorists recruitment drive and fake news among others.
