The 1 Division Nigerian Army Physical Training Department has organised a 2 day Pilot Clinic on Physical Efficiency Test commencing on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at the Division’s Auditorium.
The Clinic themed “Revamping Army Physical Training and Fitness to Address Combat Readiness in the 21st Century” was an After Action Review of the Second Physical Efficiency Test for year 2022
In his opening remarks, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja represented by the Division’s Training Officer Brig Gen BO Amakor
commended the initiative of the Acting Assistant Director 1 Division Physical Training for organizing the Clinic.
He said the clinic was aimed at assessing the overall performance of the just concluded Second Annual Physical Efficiency Test which is aimed at standardizing new initiative and innovation geared towards a better efficiency and effectiveness in relation to physical fitness.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Assistant Director Army Physical Training 1 Division, Maj FT Okou stated that the Pilot Clinic will among other intent, assist in counseling personnel on dangerous practice of drastic weight loss or gain which limit effective body function thereby hindering physical and cognitive performance for combat readiness.
He added that personnel could make frantic efforts so as to remain very active while in service.
Highlights of the event was the
Commissioning of the Stallion Sports and Exercise Performance Laboratory at the Division’s Headquarters, lectures/paper presentations and a group photograph.
