The FCT Police Command on Thursday refuted alleged ‘misleading and malicious message’ being circulated in the media about the prevalence of “vehicular and residential burglary cases within the FCT particularly in Maitama” as untrue and baseless.

It said in a statement, “It is pertinent to state that the Federal Capital Territory is safe and the Command will not rest on its oars to put an end to every form of criminality within the FCT. However, it is disheartening that some unknown elements wish to jeopardize these efforts.
“While reaffirming our dedication to provide maximum security for the residents of the FCT, the Command wishes to advise members of the public to disregard any misleading information and scrutinize information at their disposal.
