The Eastern Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy has assured Naval Units and Bases under it that the Command will continuously support them in terms of operations and any other way that will better the Nigerian Navy
Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu gave the assurance while commissioning the newly constructed Utility Block and the Remodelled Administrative Block at NNS Victory, Calabar.
Describing the commissioning of the projects as historic, the FOC who was the Special Guest of Honour, said, “This occasion is both auspicious and significant considering the value these projects will add to the Nigerian Navy”.
“The availability of quality health care facility, worship center as well as a good working environment for personnel is no doubt a necessity for maximum performance”.
“It is with this in mind that I heartily congratulate the Commander NNS Victory, officers and men of the Nigerian Navy Ship Victory for this hallmark achievement.
“Permit me to once again use this medium to categorically state that the command will continuously support its bases in achieving success in terms of operations and in any other way that will better the Nigerian Navy.
“I therefore urge the Commander, officers, men and civilian staff of the Base to continue to work together in harmony in order to achieve success and bring glory to the NN.
“At this juncture, let me once again remind all those charged with the responsibilities of running this Base to seize the opportunity to contribute their quota to the betterment of the Nigerian Navy, the society and humanity at large.
“The modern and state of the art facilities before us also attest to the amount of resources expended to put them in place. I therefore expect you all to take proper care of all the structures and facilities so as to maximize their benefits.”
Furthermore, Rear Admiral Dewu commended the Commander NNS Victory and all those who have contributed in one way or the other in making these projects a reality.
