GOC 2 div, Maj Gen Omozojie stands in for COAS at Olojo Festival 2019

His Imperial Majesty, Oonirisa Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ile Ife marked the Olojo Festival 2019 with the theme: “Developing Our Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Domestic & Foreign Tourism Patronage – One Yoruba, One Source, One Festival”

Cultural identity is important to people’s well-being.

It gives people feeling of belonging and security.

The Olojo festival provides the Yoruba ethnicity access to social network which provide support, shared values and aspirations.

At the Olojo festival 2019 Yoruba values, beliefs and practices were showcased.

The cultural influence of the people form part of the entertainment at the Ile Oduduwa Ooni’s Palace, Ile Ife.

The Honourable Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi (Rtd) and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai were ably represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen Omozoje.

The festival was a forum where beliefs, dress, talk and arts of the Yoruba ethnic group and Nigeria at large were showcased.

The Olojo festival 2019 exhibits the social norms of the Yoruba people and Nigerian identity at large.
