The President Nigeria Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Salamatu Yahaya on Wednesday 3 August 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding( GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army Maj Gen Taoreed Lagbaja at the Headquarters 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu State.
While stating the purpose of her visit, Mrs Yahaya appreciated the GOC for creating a conducive environment for personnel, women and youth in the barracks to aquire quality education and viable trade skills.
The NAOWA President commended the Chairperson, NAOWA 82 Division Nigerian Army, Mrs Maria Lagbaja for initiating the construction of NAOWA Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICT) as well as the remodelling of the NAOWA 82 Div Secretariat.
Mrs Yahaya described these accomplishments as projects that will strengthen and standardize the NAOWA brand, legacies and administrative structure.
The GOC in his response, commended NAOWA and in particular the NAOWA President for the huge strides recorded in terms of projects and interventions of NAOWA in the areas of better health care services, quality education, acquisition of trade skills and capacity development of NAOWA and NASWA members nationwide.
Present at the event were formation commanders and NAOWA Members.
