Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule Hails Guards Brigade for Peace and Security in the State

 

The Governor of Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has hailed Officers and Men of Guards Brigade, NA particularly the 177 Guards Battalion located in Keffi, for the absolute peace and security being enjoyed in the state.

Represented by his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the governor stated this at the decoration of newly promoted senior officers of the Brigade held at the Scorpion Officers Mess, Asokoro Abuja, on Saturday 4th November 2022.

While congratulating the newly promoted senior officers, Dr. Emmanuel noted that the people of the state are enjoying peace as well as security because men of the Nigerian Army under the Brigade, sacrifice day and night to ensure that criminals in the state are denied freedom of action.

 

He congratulated the newly decorated officers for the well deserved promotion stressing that their anticidents, dedication and loyalty to the service of defending the nation has earned them their new deserved senior rank in the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The Governor wished them well in the task ahead and further thanked their spouses for the prayers and support which has kept them on track.

In his remarks, Commander Guards Brigade,Brigadier General Muhammed Takuti Usman called on the newly decorated senior officers to remain more loyal to constituted authority adding that to whom much is given, more is expected in return.

In his vote thanks the Commanding Officer 177 Guards Battalion Col Abdullahi Kolo Ali, who also benefited from promotion thanked God almighty for the Grace to witness the decoration, the Chief of Army Staff and the promotion board for finding them worthy of their new ranks.

 

He made a promise on behalf of the newly promoted officers to remain loyal and more committed considering the task before them.

The decoration of the senior officers was also graced by Chief of Army Transformation and Innovation(DATI), Major General Charles Ofoche, Brigadier General Lawson and Brigadier General Mustapha Onoyeveta (rtd) as well as families of the celebrants and other well wishers.
