Nigerian Navy Ship, NNS KADA makes History as the first Nigerian Warship to visit Oman

The new warship, NNS  Kada arrived the Port of Al Duqum on Tuesday 5th April 2022 as part of her main voyage to Nigeria from the UAE.

With her arrival, she has becomes the first Nigerian Navy ship to visit Oman.

It would be recalled that the ship cast off from Hamriyah Port Sharjah after her hand over/change of flag ceremony on 1st of April and is expected to pay Port calls in Oman, Kenya, South Africa, Angola and Gabon, as part of her 56 days’ voyage.

The Commanding Officer NNS KADA, Captain RO Adoki paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Duqum Naval Unit, Captain Badar Mohammed Al BU Saidi.

Both officers noted that the visit has opened a new vista for enhanced military relations between Nigeria and Oman.

It is gratifying to note that Captain Badar proclaimed that an Oman Sailing Vessel would be made to embark on its two yearly flag showing tour to Nigeria and West Africa for the first time.

Other activities during the visit were novelty football match and cocktail onboard the ship.
