Ogun Police nabs 6 robbery suspects.

Men of Ogun State police command in the early hours of Tuesday 18th February 2020 arrested six suspects in connection with a robbery incident of 21st of January 2020 at No 1 Akorede estate at Olomoore behind Crescent University Abeokuta.

The suspects according to the victims of the attack invaded their house in the midnight armed with cutlass and inflicted various degree of cutlass injuries on one Alfa Rifhat Ashraf after which they dispossessed him and his wife of 5 different types of handsets, one laptop, cash sum of #60,000 and other valuables.

On receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police gave a matching order to the DPO Lafenwa division CSP Muraina Ayilara to go after the hoodlums and bring them to justice.

In compliance with the CP’s directive, the DPO and his operatives commenced intelligence and technical investigation of the case which led to the arrest of one member of the gang.

The arrested gang member led the operatives to the house of an herbalist at Olomoore area of Abeokuta which serves as hideout to the gang.

On getting there, the place was cordoned off but surprisingly the hoodlums attacked the police with cutlass consequent upon which one of them was shot, and five others arrested, along with the herbalist.

Recovered from them are: One laptop, five different types of handsets, one cutlass and charms.

The gang leader who is popularly known as ‘’AK” escaped and a serious manhunt has been launched to effect his arrest.

The arrested culprits are: (1) Tosin Adebanjo, Toheeb Ogundare, Ahmed Oloyede, Emmanuel Ogunshina aka Emma SARS, Adebisi Remilekun and Sukanmi Ogundimu (herbalist).

The victims have identified some of the arrested culprit as those who invaded their house on that fateful day.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered the transfer of the suspect to Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) for discreet investigation.
