Police Eliminate Boko Terrorists Recover Gun trucks in Fierce Encounter/ Nab Gunrunners with ammunition and charms for Bandits

Personnel of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Borno State, on Tuesday, successfully foiled an ambush by Boko Haram terrorists at Mainok Village, along the Damaturu-Maiduguri Road.
It was gathered that though the insurgents engaged in a heavy gun battle with the SARS troops, they were swiftly overpowered.
In a video clip obtained by PRNigeria, the SARS Commander who led the operation, explained to a senior Army officer on patrol at Mainok, that his men gallantly, professionally and fearlessly repelled the attack, eliminating some of the Boko Haram members.
The Army senior officer, while hailing the SARS troops, appealed for a strong joint-collaboration between the Army troops and Police personnel in prosecuting the counter-insurgency war in Borno, and other parts of the North-East.

A reliable source told PRNigeria, that some of the BH fighters were killed while others escaped with serious injurious during the gun duel.
The SARS troops recovered four gun trucks from the terrorists.
Meanwhile, detectives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP’s) Special Tactical Squad have arrested two men who transport and supply dangerous ammunition to bandits in the North-West.
The dare-devil criminals were arrested while transporting a consignment of firearms to one of their dealers inside a forest, in a blue vehicle.
The operation was led by the Sector Commander of Kano-Kaduna Unit, DSP Husseini Gimba.
In one of the video clips obtained by PRNigeria, the gunrunners explained in Hausa language their modus operandi in transporting weapons and charms to armed bandits.
Items recovered from the arms’ merchants include four guns, eight magazines, 223 bullets, N90,000, grinded herbal leaves, SIM cards, over 100 charms, recharge cards and a cream.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP’s) Special Tactical Squad under the leadership of DCP Kolo Yusuf with the support of hunters and volunteers has also raided Kangon Uzoh Forest Mountain via Bangi LGA Niger where they arrested more kidnappers and rescued the victims.
The twin anti-kidnapping policemen, DSPs Hassan and Hussaini Gimba played prominent roles in the recovery of sophisticated weapons, ammunition from bandits/kidnappers in that axis.
