Police nab 4 dismissed soldiers, 3 dismissed naval personnel for robbery/kidnapping in Lagos.

Operatives of the Lagos state police command have arrested 4 soldiers and 3 naval personnel who are dismissed from service, from criminal activities of suspected armed robbery and kidnapping.

The dismissed military personnel confessed that they have been behind some of the criminal activities of attacking travellers and armed robbery within the South West axis.

The suspects are Ndidi Oluchukwu, Owolabi Adeyemo, David Olufemi, Samuel Israel, Emeka Ibeh, Samuel Anochime, and Ebedot Stephen.

Items recovered from the suspects include 12 pairs of military camouflage uniforms, military ID cards, 2 cutlasses, ATM cards, jack knives, female pants and 1 local ring.

Dismissed suspect Oluchukwu said he was dismissed from the Nigerian Army in 2015 after he took leave of absence and took too long to return.

.Dismissed suspect Stephen who was dismissed fromm the Nigerian Navy said the Army uniforms they used to operate with were given to him by a Commander who did not mention.

Suspects also confessed to being responsible for terrorising some areas in Lagos and also robbing commuters along Lagos – Ibadan expressway.
