Thousands benefit as NDA conduct Free Medical Outreach in Dankande Community, Kaduna.

The Nigerian Defence Academy on Thursday conducted free medical Outreach for thousands of residents of Dankande Community located at kaduna – Zaria road, Kaduna state.

The free medical services and drugs provided to members of the Dankande Community included those for Clinical, dental, eye, laboratory, nursing, public health, and phamaceutical service

Commandant of NDA, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade said, “The Academy brought the medical outreach to improve the health condition of the residents in fulfilment of ‘our continuous role to impact on the community around the Nigerian Defence Academy as we consider every nooks and crannies of kaduna state as part and parcel of the Academy.

He said, “We conduct our general training around kaduna and the good people of Dankande Community are part of it. if there is any serious medical case that cannot be handle here, it will be referred to our facility for continue medical care at no cost

The Commandant urged Dankande community and kaduna state at large to be security conscious, to report any suspicious situation to the nearest security agency be it police or military.

In his remarks, the Acting Commander, Nigerian Defence Academy Hospital, Lt Col JI Akunne said “part of today set aside to carry out this important medical outreach which one of the serries of programme line up for 2019 passing out parade of the academy”

He said, “NDA medical outreach was born out of the commandant’s passion for impacting positively on the lives of Unguwar Dankande Community” Insecticides Mosquitoe Nets , Exercises books, and wrappers to women and children

In his remark the Village head of Kafin Gwari residing in Dankande Alhaji Musa Abdul appreciated the NDA Commandant for the wonderful free medical Outreach to the community,.

He said it is something they never expected or saw it coming adding, “As you can see people of the community are very much happy about this wonderful gesture”.

“As you can recall, this same gesture was extended to other communities all over the country. Sometime last year it was extended to Dogon Fadama community in Kontagora local government Niger state.”
