The Force Commander, United Nations Mission in Abyei, Major General Benjamin Olufemi Sawyerr has commended the Commanding Officer Col Mac Duc Trong, his officers and Sappers (Engineers) for their contribution to UNISFA ability to move, live and provide Protection in fulfilment of its Civilian Mandate.

The Force Commander gave the Commendation during his visit to Highway location of the UNISFA Vietnamese Military Construction Engineering Company in the Abyei Box.
Gen Sawyerr also expressed his amazement on the capability of the Vietnamese Sappers to construct facilities, repair bridges, construct and maintain roads, drainages and actively provide medical and other CIMIC activities to the Host Community.
