The Commander, Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Usmau Takuti Usman, Officers, Soldiers and their families on Wednesday expressed joy and gratitude to the almighty God for the honour done Nigeria by participating troops in the just concluded Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland at a colourful ceremony hosted on their behalf by the Commander in Abuja.
Recall that the dynamic performance of the Nigerian Army participants, led by Lt. Colonel Mukthar Daroda which caught the eye of the world alongside participants from other countries, proved that Nigerian Army can hold its own against any military when tasked to do so.
Welcoming the participants to the country after the successful tour, the Commander Guards Brigadier General Usman commended the soldiers and officers for their fascinating artistry and display at the event which he said received accolade across Nigeria and urged the participants not to relent.
He said the performance of the team also boosted the image and capabilities of the Nigerian Army in the international arena.

In his remarks, the Head of military delegation to Scotland and Commanding Officer 7 Guards Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mukthar Sani Daroda thanked God for successful tour and the Nigeria government particularly the Nigeria Army for having faith and giving them the opportunity to represent the country.
He said the team generally was delighted to serve and to showcase the Nigerian Army and the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria stressing that the gesture would indeed avail the Armed Forces of Nigeria and its British counterpart opportunity to strengthen existing bilateral relationship.
Daroda disclosed that everyone who has watched the video of the Nigerian Military display during the occasion agreed it is beautiful to watch.
During the event, the participants of Royal Edinburgh were treated to cultural display by units under command.
Souvenirs won by the participants during the parade in Scotland were later presented to Commander Guards Brigade.
Present at the occasion are Director Department of Army Standard and Evaluation, Brig Gen IM Abdulkadri, Chief of Staff Guards Brigade, Colonel KU Sidi, Commanding Officers, Guards Brigade Garrison Commander, Staff Officers of the Brigade and families of the Participants at the Military Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
