Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Bala Buni has stated that there is no local government or community of the state that is under the control of Boko Haram.
Governor Buni made the disclosure when he visited the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai at Army headquarters, Abuja.
While noting that he was at Army headquarters for consultations, he disclosed that recent incidents of Boko Haram attacks on communities in Yobe state were perpetrated by insurgents who came in from Borno, looted foodstuff and other things and ran back to where they came from.

He noted that Yobe state is calm security-wise though it is believed his visit to Army headquarters is to further seek ways of further boosting security against the insurgents in the state.
Speaking briefly on the visit, the COAS, Lt. Gen TY Buratai said the governor came to Army headquarters for consultations.
Present at the occasion were the Chief of Policy and Plans, Lt. General Lamidi Adeosun, Chief of Training and Operations, Major General Enobong Udoh, Chief of Logistics, Major General Uniugbe, Chief of Standards and Evaluation, Major General Fidelis Azinta, Chief of Military Intelligence, Major General Adebayo and Acting Provost Marshal, Army, Brig General Ahmed.
