The Guards Brigade, Nigerian Army on Thursday called on Nigerians resident in the FCT not to panick when they hear heavy artillery gun fire as it is part of activities marking Nigeria’s independence anniversary celebrations.
“The 58th Nigerian Independence Anniversary Parade is scheduled to hold on 1st October 2018 at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

“The parade will involve a ceremonial parade and traditional firing of Artillery Gun during the occasion.
“In view of the above, you are please requested to inform the general public especially those living within Asokoro and its environs not to panic at the sound of the simulated firing of Artillery Guns during the anniversary parade.”
