58 year old man who sodomized 2 little boys in Lagos arrested; Father who defiles 2 year old daughter too

The Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command is investigating one Abdullahi Garuba, 58, a security man attached to Oshodi Isolo Local Government Secretariat for allegedly defiling two minors.

Trouble started for Abdullahi Garuba, when concerned citizens who couldn’t understand what business he had with little boys that trooped in and out of his security post which also doubled as his residence, leaked information to the mothers of two little boys, ages 13 and 11, when they saw them coming out of his abode, at 2pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

The children were questioned by their respective mums and they confessed that the suspect had been having anal sex with them.

The matter was thereafter reported for investigation at the Gender Section of the Command.

In a related development, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Langbasa Police Station, SP Ada Okafor on 17/11/2018, arrested Peter Adida of No.9 Oyetayo Olafisoye street Westwood estate, Badore, Ajah, Lagos for allegedly defiling his 2-year-old daughter.

Preliminary medical report indicated that there was penetration and that the baby is infected.

When questioned by the female officer on who did it, the baby pointed out her father and was able to describe various sex positions with Dad.

The Commissioner of a police, Lagos state, CP Imohimi Edgal, has directed that the matter be transferred to the Gender Section for further investigation.

He admonishes parents and guardians to watch their children closely as predators are on the increase.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command on November 15, 2018, recorded another plus against men of the underworld who came to burgle a shop situated at Maya, along Ijebu-ode road, Ikorodu, at about 0240hrs in the morning.

The hoodlums arrived the scene in a Mazda bus with registration number KRD 783 XW and started breaking the shop.

Their operation was however aborted midway when policemen on pin-down duty near the scene alerted the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Shagamu road Police station, CSP Adekunle Omisakin who quickly mobilised to the scene with a team of anti crime policemen and engaged the robbers in a shootout.

When the robbers could take no more of the fire exchange, they jumped into their car and drove off as quickly as they could.

The police team chased them; along the way, the robbers pushed one of their colleagues with bullet injury whom they mistook for dead, out of a moving vehicle.

The team recovered the man, revived him and he gave his name as Yusuf Nasiru, aged 34 years. He was searched and a knife and some charms were recovered from him.

He was thereafter taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical care. Meanwhile the suspect, miffed by what his gang members did to him, is cooperating with the police by giving useful information.

The Command Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi has congratulated the DPO and his team for frustrating the plans of the robbers and for their timely response.

He assures Lagosians of peaceful ember months; adding that the crime preventing strategy of his administration is structured to ensure that the Command remains the end point, in other words, the last bus stop for unrepentant criminals.
