In continuation of Navy Week celebration 2017, NNS Zaria embarked scores of civilians at NPA jetty Warri by 1000 hours (10am) on Tuesday 30th May and took them to sea.
According to a statement from the office of the Commander, NNS Delta, Commodore Ibrahim Dewu, “The ship returned to harbor by 1430 (2.30pm) and the event was colourful and hitch free.
The sea exercise which was directed by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas, was included in the programme of events to mark the 61st anniversary of the Nigerian Navy with a view to letting Nigerians feel their Navy and see what taxpayers money was being invested in Maritime Security.
