A fictional book titled the Legend of Buratai chronicling the life and times of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai was deservingly unveiled on Friday 17th May 2019 at the federal capital city, Abuja.
The fictional book titled, “The Legend of Buratai” written by Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Sani was made public at the Merit House Auditorium in Abuja.
Speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Bashir Jibril said the problem of insecurity and other teething challenges bedeveling Nigeria can be addressed through collective efforts of all Nigerians.
He noted that Nigeria has become haemorrhagic due to the plethora of challenges facing the country, in recent times.
Among other things, he highlighted endemic corruption, religious sentiments, and ethnic jingoism as leading cause of division among Nigerians.

Dr Jubril commended Buratai and entire officers and soldiers of the Nigeria Army (NA), for their relentless effort in fighting Boko Haram terrorists and other criminal elements disturbing the peace of the country.
Responding to the special honour done him, the COAS who was represented by Chief of Civil-Military Affairs at the Army Headquarters Maj Gen Shehu Mohammed said the Nigerian Army despite its challenges has remained committed to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country.
He applauded the writer of the fictional book, describing the book’s initiative as timely and laudable.
He emphasized on the need for the younger generation to inspire for exemplary leadership skills with a view of turning around the dwindling fortunes of the country.
The occasion was graced by senior military officers which included the Chief of Account and Budgets (Army), Maj Gen AR Bakare, Director Legal Services (Army), Maj Gen YI Shalangwa.
Others are Educationists, Media Heads, Captains of Industry, Staff and Students of some selected schools in Abuja.
