Barely 48 hours after the Chief if Defence Staff, Gen Chritooher Musa vowed that terrorist kingpin Bello Turji and others like him out who are committing atrocities North West will be smoked out soon, notorious Zamfara terrorist leader, Halilu Sububu has been emiminated
Sources said Sububu (aka Kachalla Buzu) was Neutralized along with over 30 of his foot soldiers on Thursday following a deadly gunfight that ensued with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in a daring ambush/surprise attack
“Troops recovered deadly firearms and ammunition, together with about 30 motorcycles from the terrorists”.
A counter-insurgency expert with knowledge of happenings in the Lake Chad area, Zagazola Makama said the ambush was highly effective, resulting in the elimination of numerous bandits.

He said the operation was based on intelligence about the bandits’ movements adding that the troops seized 30 motorcycles and a substantial cache of weapons.
Sources have in the past fingered Sububu and his gang as the terrorists responsible for the death of some military personnel and other security agents during patrols in the North West State if Zamfara,Zamfara Soko and Katsina states as well asa bducting and killing several other Zamfara civilians.
Recall that another terrorist leader in Zamfara, Bello Turji had boosted that a community in the North West must pay a ransom of N50million to his terrorist gang for the alleged killing of 100 cows.
The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen CG Musa, and Chief if Defence Intelligence, Major Gen Akomaye Udiandeye recently paid an operational visit to the headquarters of 8 division, Nigerian Army where the directive to intensify operations and clear out the marauding terrorists/bandits was conveyed to the GOC, Brigadier Gen Ajose.
