The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Police Command, CP Echeng Echeng has called on traditional rulers in Anambra to use their position to open channels of communication to their subjects, to promote national interest and support the security agencies in the fight against crimes and criminality in the state.
CP Echeng made this plea during when he visited His Royal Highness, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, the Chairman Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council in his palace at Onitsha on 18th February 2022.

According to a statement signed by DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, PPRO Anambra State Police Command, the CP also called for “honest and patriotic involvement in identifying our differences and prioritizing goals, to develop deliberate plans in addressing the challenges facing the state”.
Responding, the traditional ruler (Obi of Onitsha) welcomed the CP and his entourage and assured the Police chief of their collaboration in enhancing public safety and peace.
In attendance were the Palace Chief of Staff, Chikezie Ogbunike, DCP Peter Ozigi, ACP John Obuagnaka among others.
