Following directives by the Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K Idris during the last IGP Conference, the Anambra Police Command on Wednesday 23/8/2017 at about 11am organized a general lecture for officers and Men of the Command.
The lecture was spear-headed by the Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar at the State Command headquarters Awka.

Issues discussed includes Use of Fire arm, Discipline, Zero tolerance on corruption, respect for human dignity and professionalism in accordance with international best practices.

Others include Community partnership, visibility policing, Police welfare and attitudinal change.
Meanwhile, the Sports Writers Association (SWAN) Anambra State chapter led by its Chairman Anthony Oji also paid a solidarity visit to the Commissioner of Police and presented him a congratulations /partnership letter over his appointment as Special Adviser on Security by the Nigerian football Federation (NFF).
