The Enugu state command of the Nigeria police force have concluded its community based campaign on cultism and other vices for the three senatorial zones in Enugu state namely Enugu East,Enugu North and Enugu West Zones.
The community based awareness campaign as supported by the Nigeria policing programme is part of the Enugu state effort at eradicating cultism and other vices in the state through Police campaign Against cultism and other vices (POCACOV).
The community based awareness campaign commenced on 27th February,2019 at the senior police officers mess Agbani road for Enugu EAst zone and Enugu North on 28/2/19 while that of Enugu west zone was conducted on 1/3/19.

During the three zones community based Awareness programme on cultism and other vices,various stakeholders were invited and the need for cultism and other vices to be eschewed amongst our youth were x-rayed with firm agreement to implement all the things discussed in such a manner to discourage cultism and other vices.
The programme was designed to spotlight the inherent dangers of cultism and related crimes,provide support system for youth/students while de-radicalizing repentant members of cult groups.
The programme will also aid in increasing the consciousness of parents ,students,traditional/religious leaders,School leadership amongst others on ills of cultism and other vices.
The programme also provided platforms that will aid in whittling down membership of cult groups as well as information sharing between schools Communities and law enforcement Agencies.
