The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai on Friday, with the support of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Hajia Nuratu Batagarawa decorated newly promoted Lieutenant-General Lamidi Adeosun with his new rank.
Adeosun who is the Chief of Training and Operations CTOP at Army headquarters was decorated at the General Martin Agwai Leadership Peacekeeping Centre in Jaji, Kaduna.

Also decorated was the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 division Nigerian Army, Major General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu who was also given accelerated promotion from the rank of Brigadier General.
Both promotions were based on the recommendation of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Buratai.
Speaking at the occasion, the Permanent Secretary commanded the COAS for his leadership qualities which was aptly displayed in his recommendation for the promotions..
She thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the promotions.
