Army Corps of Supply & Transport Holds Strategic Conference for Operational Efficiency

The Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) on Wednesday 29th May 2024 commenced its Combined First and Second Quarters Conference for 2024 at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) in Benin.

A statement by the Acting Assistant Director,Army Public Relations, Headquarters NACST, Captain KG Ayuba said the conference aims to reassess the Corps’ performance and strategize for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in supporting Nigerian Army operations and other engagements.
Commander of the Corps of NA Supply and Transport, Major General Adekunle Adebayo Adeyinka, inaugurated the conference, emphasizing the importance of the gathering in evaluating the Corps’ achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
Adeyinka advised participants to engage in open and candid discussions to develop optimal solutions for repositioning NACST to deliver effective support to the Nigerian Army.
The Corps Commander expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, for his unwavering support to the Corps.
He encouraged officers to embrace new initiatives aimed at sustaining and building upon the Corps’ accomplishments and called on field commanders to motivate junior officers to be exemplary representatives of the Corps.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commandant of NASST, Major General Nansak Danjuma enjoined participants to pay keen attention to all the discussions and engage actively.

The conference featured a briefing by the commanders of various Supply and Transport Brigades across NA units and formations.

High-ranking officials in attendance included Major General AA Adeyinka, Major General ND Shagaya, Directors from Defence Headquarters, Army Headquarters, and Headquarters NACST, as well as commanders of various ST commands and officers from HQ NACST and NASST.
