The HQ 82 Division Enugu has been inundated with calls and messages seeking to verify the alleged/concocted publication making round in the social media claiming spurious tribal war in 82 Division barracks.
Our initial reaction was to disregard and not accord any importance to this, but sense of reasoning prevails considering the current situation and some insinuation from certain quarters.
It is instructive to state that this same mischievous message was circulated in April and May 2017 and was adequately addressed by HQ 82 Division and the Army Headquarters.
The same message is again, currently and mischievously trending in social media.

The Division wishes to once again, emphatically restate that the report is totally false as there is no any ill feeling, grumbling or complain in Abakpa cantonment Enugu or in any army barracks in the South East Nigeria.
The general public is hereby again enjoined to disregard this satanic message in its entirety as it is aimed at causing disaffection among the cohesive troops of the Division and to distract the Nigerian Army in discharging its noble constitutional roles of ensuring peace and security across the nation.
The Division wishes to request interested individuals or groups to visit the Headquarters 82 Division/Abakpa cantonment and freely interact with troops with the view to verifying the falsity or otherwise of the issue.
