Army War College hosts Participants of Cameroon War College on Study tour to Nigeria

The Participants of Cameroon War College (CWC) led by the Commandant, Maj Gen Ngambou Esaie on a study tour to Nigeria were hosted by Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) at TY Buratai Lecturer Hall.

Speaking during the visit to the College, Maj Gen Esaie stated that the visit was meant to aid further development in learning and impacting knowledge through interaction with AWCN.

He said the CWC also wishes to seek understanding on how war colleges are organized and run with a view to seeking cooperation to facilitate exchange of participants and directing staff.

In his welcome address, the Commandant, AWCN, Maj Gen Charles Ofoche noted that the AWCN was established in 2017 to bridge the gap between tactical and strategic levels of learning.

He further pointed out that since the commencement of the academic programme of the College, a total of 100 participants have graduated from the College.

He also noted that the College has soared high within a short period because of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai’s commitment and passion to make AWCN a unique institution of learning among its contemporary.

During the visit, the participants of the CWC which comprised 60 participants from 24 countries were briefed on organization and activities of AWCN.

This covered Mission Statement of the College, History, Organizational Structure as well as the College’s training packages.

The participants of the CWC were also treated to an interactive session to shed more light on activities of the College.

The visit ended with exchange of souvenirs, group photographs and a guided tour of AWCN complex.
