At Sambisa Forest: Uwajumogu Hails Buhari, Dan-Ali, Buratai over Boko Haram Defeat.

The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial district, Benjamin Uwajumogu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for living up to his promise of reclaiming and protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria from senseless attacks by the insurgents.

Senator Uwajumogu, who made the commendation in the hitherto dreaded Sambisa forest in Borno state during an oversight visit to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and the Chief of Army Staff small arms competition, declared that with the proactive approach adopted by the present administration, the issue of Boko haram insurgency would soon be totally forgotten in the country’s history.

He described President Muhammadu Buhari, as a gallant soldier who had deployed his age-long military experiences in decimating and combating what he called the catastrophic menace of the rag-tag insurgency group.

The Imo north Senator also commended the efforts of the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali, as well as the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, for their patriotism and gallantry in reclaiming some of the Nigerian territories earlier lost to the insurgents, adding that the hosting of the competition in the Sambisa forest was a reaffirmation that the once dreaded Boko Haram group has been degraded.

He however called on governments at all levels to pay special attention to the overall welfare of the thousands of victims of the insurgency operations who are currently in different IDP camps across the country.

He maintained that government must do everything within its powers to resettle the IDPs to enable them have a new lease of life, as according to him, the victims have paid the ultimate price of the years of insurgency operations in the country.
