Battling Security Challenges: Welfare of Soldiers will be Priority to achieve success-Angbazo, GOC 3 Div.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured Division, Major General Nuhu Angbazo has reaffirmed the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Tukur Buratai’s concern on Soldiers’ welfare and operational successes alongside the COAS’ vision which is “To have a professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional roles.”

Major Gen Angbazo emphasized this in his morale boosting talk to soldiers of 301 Artillery Regiment in Gombe state during his operational visits to commands and formations under 3 Armoured Division on 11 December 2018.

“Since this is one of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai’s concern to ensure soldiers’ welfare, I will see to it that soldiers’ welfare in my Division is my priority. I give you my assurance that your welfare will be well taken care of, your families will not suffer”, Angbazo told Soldiers.

“Whatever is yours will get to you, I give you that assurance”.

The GOC 3 Division also charged them to be alert and steadfast in their duties as Soldiers to ensure Operational effectiveness, and live up to the name 301 Artillery Regiment is known for in the Nigerian Army, and the country at large.

“Deal decisively with any threat according to your rules of engagement. Ensure lives and properties are safe”.

Angbazo also warned Soldiers to keep away from interfering with politics in the forthcoming general election no matter the pressure or enticement from politicians.

Commander of the 301 Artillery Regiment, Col TI Etim gave updates on current development in the Command, and took him on a tour around the facilities.

After receiving Operational briefing the GOC went ahead to commission a new constructed Guard Post within the Command.
