“We particularly call on President Muhammadu Buhari to take more proactive measures to end this carnage and forestall its reoccurrence.
“We call on all relevant security agencies and other relevant bodies to live up to the responsibilities of their offices.
“Failure of the government to adequately protect life and property will create an unfortunate situation where people will have to take alternative measures to defend themselves, and that will be a disaster.
“We support the efforts of the Benue state government in finding a solution to this persistent crisis through the anti-open grazing law that calls for the establishment of ranches.
“We therefore call for sustained prayers and fasting, our veritable weapon against all principalities for the restoration of our land and this proclamation goes alongside the call for vigilance and self-defence.
“We commit our nation and province into the hands of our Lady of Perpetual Help.
