BHT’s repeated abductions, suicide bombings, killings: CDS, Service Chiefs land Maiduguri, heed Osinbajo’s directive

In line with the directive of the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo that Military Chiefs relocate to Command Center in Maiduguri to checkmate renewed Boko Haram attacks, the CDS and Service Chiefs of the Army, Airforce and Navy on Tuesday landed in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for action.

According to sources in Maiduguri, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, was the first to arrive in Maiduguri among the service chiefs on Tuesday.

The source said that an aircraft conveying the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar was due in Maiduguri on Tuesday while the CDS and CNS will join up later in the day.

The action of the service chiefs is expected to give a further lift in morale of troops in the North East and rekindle hope that the war on terror is still under control, as against belief by some that Boko Haram is still formidable even after the group had been degraded.
