Troops of operation Lafiya Dole on clearance operation at Gashigar have repelled an attack and neutralized 6 Boko Haram terrorists and inflicted gunshot wounds on others.
After the encounter, a cache of arms were recovered including one Anti-Aircraft (AA) Gun, 4 AK47 rifles., 6 AK47 magazines, 2 mortar bombs and 2 Gun Trucks were recovered.
Unfortunately, two soldiers were wounded during the operation.

Similarly, troops successfully cleared Boko Haram terrorists from Gambori, Dumbawa, Damsu, Awardi, Kanaram, Laridi, Malumdi and Yuramdi villages.
The troops recovered one Refrigerator, one 14inch TV, two DVDs, and a box filled with drugs.
A statement by Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu said, “Efforts are on to arrest other fleeing members of the terrorists group.”
