Breaking: Troops Attack Boko Haram Gatherings from 2 Flanks; Terrorists Flee, Abandon cache of Arms, Ammunition

In compliance with the COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai’s directives that Commanders in OP Lafiya Dole carry out massive attacks and offensive missions to the BHTs’ locations, hideouts and enclaves, troops of 3 Battalion Ngala embarked on an exploitation mission on 29 November 2018.

The gallant troops carried out offensive patrols on two fronts. Ngala Bridge and Gamboru town towards BHT withdrawal routes along Wurge village in Borno State.

On citing the troops, the terrorists who were massing up for a possible attack abandoned their logistics stores and equipment and fled.

According to a statement on Nigerian Army Face book handle, BHTs equipment captured include: 1 AK 47 Rifle with Reg No 819044 and 2 AK 47 Magazine, and 443 Rounds of 12.7MM.

Others recoveries are 94 Rounds of PKT, 16 Rounds of 7.62 MM NATO, 4 Rocket Propelled Grenade Bombs, 1 RPG Charge, 1 Anti-Aircraft Telescopic Sight, 1 X AA Top cover, 1 X Clearing rod, 1 Hilux GT, 2 Motorcycle, 1 BHT Flag, 2 Blanket, 1 Praying mat, 1 Mosquito net, 10 Motorcycle spare tubes, 1 Tool Box , 1 Towing cable, 1 Camel bag, 3 Water melon, 3 Milk, 2 Maltina, 2 Satchet of sugar and groundnut, 1 First Aid kit, 1 MP3 Player and 3 Jerry can.
