Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari belongs to the prison, following alleged illegal payment of $496 million to the U.S. Government for the purchase of Tucano jets.
Recall that Buhari paid for the aircraft with due process or recourse to approval of the national assembly.
Atiku said there was no difference in the crime Buhari had committed with that of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), who has been in detention since 2015.
Dasuki is currently standing trial for alleged misappropriation of about $2 billion Boko Haram war funds.

Atiku bared his mind on his official Twitter page this morning, adding that the courts should take note of the President’s illegal action.
According to the PDP presidential hopeful, “I think @MBuhari should go and join Dasuki at Kuje prison because both have committed the same crime. …#illegal withdrawal.
“So court should take note.”
News Express recalled that several Nigerian lawmakers have lambasted the President over the payment of $496mn for the purchase of Tucano jets without the approval of the National Assembly and even threatened him with impeachment over the issue.
