The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has on behalf of the Officers and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army commended the Executive Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima for embarking on the renovation of Nigerian Army Barracks in Bama.
The renovation works at the frontline Army Barracks in Borno State commenced on Tuesday.
A statement from Army headquarters said, “The Chief of Army Staff wishes to note with great appreciation Governor Kashim Shettima’s consistent support to the Nigerian Army overtime.

“He particularly wishes to thank Governor Shettima for his unrelenting support to Operation Lafiya Dole which assisted in the defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists and the kind gesture of the Borno State Government in providing land for the newly established Nigerian Army University in the State.
“Lt. General Buratai regards the commencement of renovation works in Bama Barracks as timely, as it would provide a more conducive environment for the troops to settle and discharge their duties of providing security for the entire Bama community and environs.
