The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai’s recently visited N’Djamena Chad, to assess the operations of the Multi-National Joint Task Force fighting the menace of Boko Haram and cross border banditry.

During the visit, the COAS was decorated with MNJTF Medal (as the Pioneer Force Commander) by the Executive Secretary/Head of Mission Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) Engr. Sanusi Imran Abdullah.
Lt General Buratai and entourage also visited HQ MNJTF where he was received by the Force Commander Major General Lucky Irabor.
A statement issued by Brigadier general Sani Usman, Director, Army Public Relations said, the COAS was also at the Nigerian Embassy, N’djamena.
