CDI delivers 1st Quarter Colloquium Lecture on Intelligence Support  for Counter-insurgency at Buratai Center, Igbinedion University.

   The Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs, Igbinedion University,  Okada, Edo State, Nigeria on Thursday, 19th March hosted the Chief of Defence Intelligence,  Air Vice Marshal Muhammed Sani Usman, who as guest lecturer, spoke on the theme, “Intelligence Support for Counter Insurgency in The Sahel Region of Africa”

AVM Usman was represented by the Deputy Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General Chukwunedu Martins  Abraham. 

The occasion was the University’s  year 2020 1st Quarter Colloquium and Lecture of the Buratai Center for Contemporary Security Affairs held at the Main Auditorium of the University.

It would be recalled that the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai is Professor-at-large of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State. 

At the Colloquium, Major General Abraham acquainted the large audience on the role of intelligence gathering in Counter Insurgency and sources of Intelligence.

He stated that good intelligence gathering can be achieved through collaboration with other security agencies.

He also spoke on Challenges of intelligence gathering among other factors.

The Chief of Army Staff was represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen Anthony Bamidele Omozoje.

At the end of the lecture, the Director of Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs, Dr Femi Olufunmilade thanked participants for a successful colloquium.
