The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa on Tuesday, 24 September, 2024 tasked graduants of Special Operation Forces to stay humble and hungry for success.
He stated this at the Headquarters National Mission Force, while Badging the graduants of batch 7 at Bida, Niger State.
In his remarks, the CDS urged the graduants to stay true to values and principles that have been bestowed on them by the efficient training ground.
According to him, the training has prepared them for the challenges ahead as their character will ultimately define their successes.
He further urged them not to take sides in the line of duty but to always maintain neutrality.
General Musa also said the resilience showcased by graduants is an indication of professionalism imbided by the trainers.
He applauded the transformation of the trainess into warriors.
Furthermore, he said, “as you move forward, I want you all to remember that your skills are not about combat but also about passion, empathy and understanding towards the people you are meant to protect”.
The CDS also conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appreciation to troops’ commitment to duty.
He also said he was happy with their performance at the recently concluded Warriors Competition in Jordan.
The Commander of the DHQ Special Forces Brigade, Brigadier General IM Falana in his wellcome address said the aim of the training is to equipt personnel of all the services with special fighting skills and tactics that are perculiar.
He thanked the CDS for his unwavering commitment to the training and welfare of the services.
He saluted the commitment and passion of the CDS, which he said made it possible to record all the successes achieved so far.
Speaking further, he added that the event is a testimony to General Musa leadership resolve to bequeath a well trained and professional Armed Forces
He seized the opportunity to pledge the Bridgade loyalty to the CDS and the country in general.
The 13 weeks extensive training which commenced by January 2024 had 124 graduants, comprising of Nine officers and 136 Soldiers.
The CDS was accompanied by senior military officers from the Defence Headquarters, Abuja to the event.
