Children’s Day 2024: NMS 1975 Set visits Abuja Children’s Home, honour late Infantry Corp’s Commander

The Nigeria Military School 1975 Set comprising former General Officers Commanding and equivalent in the military Corp Commanders among others on Tuesday paid a visit to the Abuja Children’s home to present foodstuff and other important needs to enable them celebrate the day.

The childrens home is abode to scores of homeless and abandoned children who depend on the welfarists donations and support of Nigerians and groups for their livelihoid and welbeing.

The ex- NMS boys also used the occasion to honour the late President of the set and former Corp Commander, Infantry of the Nigerian Army, Major General Osasogie Idowu Uzamere who died a year ago today.

Rear Admiral Henry Babalola (rtd), former Chief of Policy and Plans, Nigerian Navy and a member of the set, disclosed that various food items and cash were presented to the home to give the children a sense of belonging.

The delegation that visited the home comprised of the Acting President, General Stephen Bawa (rtd), Major General Timothy Daniel rtd, Rear Admiral Henry Babalola rtd, Air Vice Marshal Lucky Danbaki rtd, Group Captain Sule Tamba rtd, Sir Dauda Danjuma and Commodore Macpherson Owonaro rtd among others.

They prayed for General Uzamere’s soul to continue to rest in peace.
