The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) on Friday denied rejecting calls for the postponement of Ondo State Governorship election, saying it has no Acting National Publicity Secretary in the name of Veteran Olawale Okunniyi.

The CNPP is the umbrella body of all political parties and associations in Nigeria.
The Statement reads: “The attention of the national secretariat of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has been drawn to media reports that the Conference has rejected calls for the postponement of the Ondo State Governorship election, quoting one Veteran Olawale Okunniyi as our Acting National Publicity Secretary.
“For avoidance of doubt, the Acting National Publicity of the CNPP is the current National Chairman of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Dr. Yunusa Tanko.
