The Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Major General Jamil Sarham has said NDA will not compromise its standard to accommodate any cadet.
General Sarham made this known when the Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Abubakar Sadiq Liman paid him a courtesy visit at the Academy on Monday.
Gen Sarham reiterated that the Academy will treat all cadets fairly and will not condone any interference in training saying no cadet will be victimised but standard must be maintained.
He expressed his determination to produce quality junior officers who he described as “soldier scholar” who are good in both field and intellect.

The Commandant AFCSC, AVM Liman while stating his purpose of visit described Major General Sarham is an epitome of exemplary leadership in the Nigerian Armed Force, hence the need to tap from his wealth of knowledge.
AVM Liman who sought for academic and military collaborations between NDA and AFCSC noted that this will produce better tactical level officers who will contribute to tackle various security challenges facing the country.
In a similar visit, the Commandant of Air Traffic Services Training Centre (ATSTC), AVM CD Otegbade, also on a courtesy visit to the Commandant NDA, stated that it was necessary for sister military formations to become familiar with one another, while noting that it was this advocacy between NDA and ATSTC that formed the basis of his visit.
He further stated that such collaborations will provide avenues to strengthen each institution.
In his remarks, General Sarham called for cooperation in the training of Air Force Cadets of the Academy, which according to him will offer them the opportunity to streamline and get things done more effectively.
He also appealed for collaboration in the area of staff capacity building.
