Commercial Activities Return to Anambra; CP Adeoye visits Onitsha Market, Assess Security Deployment, Interacts with Shuttle Drivers

Commercial Activities on Monday 4th March 2024 returned to Anambra state following the lifting of the curfew imposed in the Central area of the state to check insecurity
And in a confidence boosting measure, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye, visited Onitsha to assess the security deployment.
The CP also interacted with Shuttle drivers plying Upper Iweka Road to assess the return of commercial activities in the area.
During interaction with the shuttle drivers, the CP was pleased to announce the lifting of curfew in Nnewi, Onitsha, and Ogbaru by the State Government and urged them to be law-abiding and vigilant.
He also urged them to promptly report acts of crime to the nearest police station or call the Command Control room with the number on 07039194332 or the PRO on 08039334002 for any security-related matter for a prompt response
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga quoted the CP telling the traders that, “In doing this, it shows the act of patriotism to the nation and in return your safety is our responsibility”
