As part of efforts aimed at building civil-military relations between the Nigerian Army and host communities, the Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian Army, Lt Gen TY Buratai has commissioned the Fika Mini Water Dam built with support of Nigerian Army engineers.
He was represented by the General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Major General BI Ahanotu at the commissioning ceremony at Fika Local Government Area, Yobe State.

The water project is part of the Nigerian Army’s Corporate Social Responsibility to host communities.
In attendance at the historic occasion were, the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idris (CON), Chief of Administration(Army) Major General IM Alkali, representative of Chief of Civil-Military Affairs Brig Gen SB Kumapayi, formations and units commanders in 3 Division Area of Responsibility.
Others were prominent sons and daughters of Fika and members of the public.
